Mexican Stock Index Falls Sharply, Exchange Probes Possible Error

Mexican stocks fell sharply in late trading Friday, and a stock market official said the exchange was investigating whether possibly erroneous trades that caused a sudden drop in the benchmark index would be corrected or allowed to stand.
